Technically this is premiering one week before his 100th birthday on December 11th. The BSO has invested a lot of publicity in Carter being alive for this event, so I’m hoping they haven’t jinxed him. He’s still has 8 months to go.

I presume the Interventions is the fabled work that is to be premiered on his centenary? Seems like bad luck to have already finished the work, but maybe it’s more like hedging your bets.

I’m not sure how common a taste modern classical is, and you don’t dumb it down so it’s easily understood by the masses, so I really hope you find your niche. You’re putting out a fantastic, high quality show, and I love how you play the whole work and talk to the person about their entire approach. It is fascinating to me, and I’m not a professional musician.
